GOP mega donor pumps another $1 million for James while he refuses to answer why he lied about his record as MI job creator
Failed politician and failed businessman John James is being propped up on the airwaves with another million dollar investment from out-of-state billionaire Dick Uihlein – bringing his total investment to over $3 million this cycle.
The Illinois billionaire and his super PAC supports an extreme, far-right agenda including backing the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which protects 1.7 million Michiganders with pre-existing conditions, abolishing the Department of Education, and cutting funding for programs like Social Security and Medicare, which millions of Michiganders rely on.
But as James gets boosted on the airwaves he still has yet to answer why he lied about his record as a Michigan job creator and when he’ll return the nearly $2 million dollars he took from Michigan taxpayers.
“John James should stop hiding behind TV ads from his billionaire backers and start answering the real questions like why he broke his promise to create jobs and lied about his record as a Michigan job creator,” said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Elena Kuhn.
The Michigan Democratic Party launched JohnJamesRevealed.com to hold the failed U.S. Senate candidate accountable for his positions – including those made over the course of the 2018 campaign that he then tried to delete after losing that campaign. For the first year of his campaign, James was largely in hiding from Michigan press and voters to try to paper over his out-of-touch record, and has only come out of hiding after facing scrutiny from Michiganders.
