Weekly Update: John James Revealed By The Numbers

Failed politician John James is Mitch McConnell’s hand-picked candidate, and this week James showed exactly why – because he’ll stand with Washington Republicans even when it hurts Michigan.

As James’ candidacy has been “eh, maybe okay at best” as he “just hasn’t been able to gain traction” – McConnell’s dark money group is pumping in millions to prop up his flailing campaign. But an independent news organization immediately exposed their dishonest attack ad, calling out it’s “misleading” claims that reach a “false conclusion,” and said “commercials like these are why it seems so many people hate political ads.”

Meanwhile, James was silent and refused to break from his party as the Supreme Court announced they will hear oral arguments on the Trump-Republican led lawsuit to take away health care, the week after the election – proving he won’t stand up for health care even when protections for 1.7 million Michiganders with pre-existing conditions are on the line.

And James is still refusing to criticize Trump and his administration as they sabotage USPS, threatening voting by mail and causing massive delays on critical deliveries Michiganders rely on. Reports revealed James has taken $11,000 in donations from Postmaster General DeJoy, and when asked, refused to say whether he’d return DeJoy’s donations.

The Michigan Democratic Party launched JohnJamesRevealed.com to hold the failed U.S. Senate candidate accountable for his positions – including those made over the course of the 2018 campaign that he then tried to delete after losing that campaign. For the first year of his campaign, James was largely in hiding from Michigan press and voters to try to paper over his out-of-touch record, and has only come out of hiding after facing scrutiny from Michiganders.
