John James continues to hide from local press after marking record-breaking number of Fox News Interviews
This week, failed politician John James made his 10th appearance on Fox News this campaign cycle, and 50th across both his campaigns — but as Detroit journalist Steve Neavling was quick to point out, he’s “still dodging local media.” Others have also picked up on James’ absence, with Michigan Policast podcast host Walt Sorg noting he’s been “invisible this whole time and he’s basically in hiding. You never see him.”
While James largely continues to hide from Michiganders – his refusal to speak with Michigan TV stations “at one point surpassed 300 days” – he’s shown he’s unwilling to get into the substance of his out-of-touch positions and his record of being “all for” Trump’s agenda.
In the last week alone, James has been silent on:
- Trump’s threat to withhold funding from Michigan even as the state is expected to face a budget shortfall upwards of $3 billion.
- Washington Republicans’ refusal to hold an open enrollment period to help the more than 1.5 million uninsured Michiganders more easily get health coverage.
- The GOP-led lawsuit which “could overturn the Affordable Care Act within a year” putting the coverage 1.7 million Michiganders with pre-existing conditions at risk during a

The Michigan Democratic Party launched JohnJamesRevealed.com to hold the failed U.S. Senate candidate accountable for his positions – including those made over the course of the 2018 campaign that he then tried to delete after losing that campaign. Since announcing he’d run again, just over six months after his last failed bid, James has been hiding from Michigan voters and refusing to answer questions from Michigan media.
